Startprobleme

Maybe this will help.
LSI_Noack wrote:please try the following: Copy the WNASPI32.DLL from the
C:\Windows\system32 directory additionally to the directory where the executable file that calls up SilverFast (the Photoshop plug-in / .8ba file) is located, e.g.
SF_Launcher.exe in C:\Program files\LaserSoft\SilverFast(NikonSF)
or
photoshop.exe in C:\Program files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS
The reason behind this is an odd behaviour of Windows that no longer looks for the WNASPI32.DLL in the system directory as it should, but limits its search path to its current directory.
This is known to happen with AMD 64 CPU systems which are installed on a Nvidia Nforce chipset mainboard and with NikonMAID driver scanners. But it may help you, too, so I guess it's worth trying :)

There is no WNASPI32.DLL on my pc. I have searched for in different ways. Maybe there is no need for, because I use the twain-driver.
Where do I find otherwise this file? Is this file on the windows-installing cd?

You may need this file if it was not included with your programs and they respond with "wnaspi32.dll not found" or a similar error message. It is only for use on Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows XP.
You can do a google.com search, or you might be able to copy the file from your old computer.

I got this file and copied it in the two folders, but the problems are the same as ever.
I had updated the driver for scanner and silverfast but I can't see a difference.

Do you have a SCSI scanner or does it connect via Fire wire or USB?

I use USB (reflecta Crystal Scan 7200).
I observe in the moment, that the scanner works fine, if it switch off in the idle mode before. Then it run always at the first time.
If I try to use it after switch on, it always have the problems. Silverfast mostly write "Kalibrieren" but seldom starts to scan.

If your scanner is USB you don't need that SCSI file mentioned earlier.

Dear Tapotupotu
WNASPI32.DLL is part of an ASPI layer drive package.
Such one will be installed to your system if the user decides to do so at the end of a SilverFast installation process.
Alternatively, it is provided as a seperate download:
http://www.silverfast.com/show/download/en.html
More information in the SilverFast FAQ:
