Another user recently reported that GraphicConverter V4.1 and Silverfast didn't work together (using TWAIN). I've tried the TWAIN interface with the newer graphicconverter v4.2 as well. Sort of works there, but you can't see ScanPilot and it's pretty hard to tell what you're doing.

Once SilverFast came up, I had a blank window with a number of buttons to its left. Clicking most of them only seemed to produce a popup "hint" about that button's function. The button that brings up the color calibration mode did work, though all I knew how to do was to get it to scan the calibration slide.

After fumbling around with the initial window I was able to scan a couple of slides and get them into GraphicConverter. I can't remember for certain, but I think I merely pressed the carriage return as soon as the blank SilverFast window came up. But I could never tell how to use any other SilverFast features.

Dear Gtackett,
this might be due to some misinterpretation on the TWAIN language. With TWAIN communication SilverFast depends on how accurate a host application interprets the TWAIN languange.
It is likely that Graphic Converter and SilverFast may indeed not understand each other very well. The software was not tested with this application.
