Dear Stefan,
PL3000 has not been tested on XP. SilverFast for PL3000 on XP is very likely to be available in the future. Currently we do not guarantee full XP support.
What you can do:
you can test SilverFast 5.5
demo "SF(UmaxSDK-IT8)" and run it on XP.

Thanks for your reply.I already have 5.5.0r06.But it crashes. It only says"initialize",then my PC reboots!I?m using firmware 2.0.According to UMAX there is a version 2.2 especially for XP.Have you already tested 2.2?My Powerlook is detected in the hardware manager and I made a test with a SCSI Zip to ensure, that SCSI works. It does. What else can I do?

Dear Stefan,
Umax says that their drivers (device drivers) and software is currently under development (same status like LaserSoft).
go to
http://support.umax.com/support/knowledge
and type "Windows XP" into the serach box.
