Ai 6 stand alone application scan mode: normal(file) crashes

When using Ai 6 Stand Alone Application, the Prescan completes successfully. Attempting to use the use the Scan Mode normal(file) causes a freezes after about 2-3 percent of the scan is complete (5X5 inch). The message pops up "SF App.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close", offering to send a problem report to microsoft.

From Photoshop 7.0 I get the same behavior usinig the plug-in [Silverfast(Epson)] and scan mode normal(file). The message says the same as above except it is the Adobe Photoshop application that has encountered the error. If I select in photoshop 7.0 and scan mode normal, the scan completes succesfully loading the image into photoshop.

If I select in photoshop 7.0 the twain driver [Silverfast Epson (32 bit)] and and scan mode as normal(file), there is no error encountered; the scan completes normally and creates the file.

I am running Windows XP Pro with all patches installed. I am using n Espon Perfection 2450 Photo scanner.

Any idea on what the problem might be?

Thanks,
Mike

please check your SF_App version. Is the SF_App version on the LSI download section newer than yours?

I believe I am running the latest version available. The SF_App is V1.1.8 and the Ai 6 is 6.0.2r32.

Any other thoughts?

Please Update
