LaserSoft Imaging

I have OSX and OS9.x and have Photoshop 6 running under classic (OS9.x). When I start the computer under OSX and load Photoshop 6 under Classic and start Silverfast via plug-in in Photoshop the scanner connection is not recognised. Even if it is turned on and film is loaded in the scanner. However, if I start the computer under Classic the scanner is recognised and everything works just fine. What is the problem??

I have Silver fast Ai5.5 on a Nikon 4000 connected by Firewire.

Only possible way is to start computer in OS 9.

Thanks - At least I know I haven't done anything wrong but will this be fixed at some stage?
