Silverfast 8 ADF error

I'm trying a demo of Silverfast Ai Studio 8 with my Nikon Coolscan V ED. The results are fantastic but I'm struggling to scan filmstrips.

From what I can tell it isn't possible preview a filmstrip and instead have to perform an ADF Scan.

When I try an ADF Scan of a filmstrip with 4 frames, Silverfast tries to scan 6 frames. The scanner sends an error message to Silverfast after scanning all 4 frames. Do I have to tell Silverfast how many frames there are on the strip and if so how?

Sorry if it's a stupid question but most of the downloadable documentation seems to relate to version 6.

Dear customer,

you can mark the images to be scanned in the filmstrip overview.

The marked images will have a blue background.
you can use Ctrl+click and alt+click to select the intended images.

I've found the overview button - had been looking for something near the prescan button.

Do you have a full manual available for version 8? I can only find an quick guide for version 8 or full manual for version 6... and version 6 seems to be very different.
