After the upgrade to 5.5.2 the auto-numbering in batchscan-mode with the SF200 does not work anymore. The first scanned file is overwritten over and over again with the newer files.
Please fix this ASAP as it makes the slidefeeder completely useless.
New features are always combined with new and interesting bugs nobody could even think of.....
Best regards

The auto numbering works for me. Sounds like some other setting is messed up.

There is not much that can be set here to make it work or not, from what I can see (and it always did in the past with other versions).
Maybe it's one of the following parameters that leads into the problem, but all past versions I used had no problem with numbering.
My system:
WinXP
Photoshop 6.02
NTFS file system
I want to batchscan 48bit HDR files
As a name I give for example
imagex_seriesy_
then I select either to start with number 1 or with any other number.
However all the time the resulting file is named
imagex_seriesy_.tif

Here is a bug report I sent to Lasersoft a while ago. It might contain the answer to your problem.
----------
there are two bugs in SF with regard to file names entered into the Frame Name field.
1. SF allows the entry of more than 31 characters into the field even though the Finder can only accept 31 characters.
2. SF will fail to save the scan to disk if the file name exceeds 31 characters.
3. SF has an undocumented 'feature'. If the file name includes a period character, everything after it is ignored and a suffix is appended according to the file format selected. For JPEG files, '.jpg' is appended.
4. If the specified file name contains a period character and the combined length of the file name and the automatically appended suffix is more than 31 characters, the scan is not saved to disk.
I have yet to see what happens if automatic numbering in turned on when the file name contains a period....
regards
Gregory
