Hi all:
Does anybody now if/how you can use the Nikon SF-210 Slide Feeder with Silverfast?
I am using the Nikon Coolscan 5000 ED.
I know the Nikon Software will use it but would like to utilize the speedy Silverfast...
Thanks in advance.
Regards
John

Dear SilverFast and Nikon scanners users,
We have tested the scanners CoolScan 5000, 4000, 50 ED with the slide feeder AF-210 for more than three months. The feeder in question works very stable in the latest version of SilverFast (6.6.0r2). The only exception might happen when the feeder has a mechanical problem, in such cases is important to check the thickness of the slides (too thick can cause problems) or that the mechanics are working properly.
Greetings

Are you sure that you have successfully tested the Nikon Coolscan 50 ED with the slide feeder AF-210?
This would be great, but honestly, I doubt on that...

Dear uwp,
sorry my colleague Alejandro was mistaken the CoolScan LS-50 does not support the SF-210/SF-200 this is due to a firmware limitation of the scanner
the feeder simply is not recognised by the scanner.

This is not right. The film feeder does work with the LS-50 and is recognized by both NikonScan and v**s**n. It is not recognized by SilverFast for some reason.

This is not right. The LS-50 does work with the SF-210. The scanner is recognized in both NikonScan and v**s**n but not SilverFast. I think this is a problem on your end.

Hi again:
Have gotten back at scanning a ton of slides with the SF-210 attachment and when it works it is great....
Does anyone know of a fix for the jamming that often happens even with slides that are in good shape...No warps or bends....
Thanks in advance
John
