Various SF 6.5.5r4 Upgrade Dilemmas

Postby dnewsom » Sat Jan 26, 2008 3:51 am

Hello-

I have searched all over the SF site as well as the web in general, and cannot find the answer to what I am certain are simple questions:

1) I upgraded to 6.5.5r4 and paid for Ai Studio, but the driver window only says "Silverfast Ai", not Silverfast Ai- Studio". What's wrong here?

2) When I upgraded to the new driver, the "Universal Launcher" only shows the Nikon 4000 scanner I bought the upgrade for, not the old Epson 4990 as well. Does this mean I now need to upgrade the Epson Scanner for it to show in the "Universal Launcher" window?

1) check to see if one of the Studio features is there. If not, double check the invoice and make sure a Studio version was downloaded.

2) yes, each driver is separate. It is only universal in HDR or DC versions

Driver Issues Almost Sorted Out

Thanks,

I think it's all working now. However, I cannot get the newly upgraded Epson 4990 to serialize now. I does appear in the "Universal" startup, but only works in Demo mode.

One thing leads to another.

Dear dnewsom,

what was your old SilverFast(Epson)'s version number?

Best regards
Martin
