Dear Frank,
i just fell over this unanswered question, here's the answer if it is still of interest..

This means that you can select a "Kodachrome" Mode now, so scanning Kodachrome images will result in more natural Colors.
Also if you use ICE, it will be used in a more "careful" manner, suiting Kodachrome IR behavior...
