Prescan in Job Manager
PostPosted: Sat Oct 28, 2006 6:12 pm
My current workflow is:
1. Add all six frames from the stripe to the Job Manager
2. Edit parameters of a job entry
3. Prescan (and wait...)
4. Adjust crop, colour etc.
5. goto 2 unless last
6. Batch scan
I want to remove Prescan step from the loop. It's just enough time consuming, that I switch to web/mail/work/etc. during prescans. I loose attention and I become ineffective in every way.
I think I would be much more efficient if I could have following workflow:
1. Add all six frames from the stripe to the Job Manager
2. Prescan all six frames
3. Edit parameters of each job entry, Adjust crop, colour etc.
4. Batch scan
This workflow would eliminate all waiting time. I would save at least half amount of time per frame just because the prescanes. If only crop is needed, then I could be five times faster if not more. This is without countng the time lost, because of task switching.
Therefore I am interested if it is possible to do a prescan of all six frames in one shot?
