SE Plus + LS2000 + SA-20 = No 'Overview' thumbnails on OS X

I'm trying to get the preview thumbnails to display in the Overview window when I insert a negative into the Nikon SA-20 filmstrip feeder. When I click on the Overview window, I don't see any previews but I can select the blank spaces to do a prescan and then subsequently a scan. Everything seems to be working OK otherwise. I tried to restart the Mac, reinsert the filmstrip and so forth but no dice. Anyone have a similar experience?

I did see a post on Verdion tracker that had the same issue.

I'm on a Mac G3 400mhz running OS X 10.4.6. with SE Plus 6.4.4r2

Dear zomborama

I guess everyone using that combination will have a similar experience. It's default behaviour. SilverFast will not automatically prescan all images and force you to sit and wait until it's done, e.g. if you'd already know what images you want to scan, you'd only need the overview for selecting the images in question.

However, if you don't, there a little button looking like a "play" button on a tape recorder at the top of the overview window which will generate / refresh the thumbnails for the overview window. Press it - et voila!

Thank you for the tip but it does not work for me. The scanner does not respond at all when the little green arrow buttons in the Overview window are pressed. I've been communicating with the LS support team with screenshots of my experience and it appears to be a bug in the SE Plus software because when I downloaded the demo version of Ai 6 for Nikon LS-2000 everything seems to work fine. I forwarded screenshots of this to the LS support team as well. So hopefully they can resolve this soon.
