A friend of mine is selling this scanner and I'm thinking about buying it. Does anyone know where I can find the drivers and appropriate software for it? He unfortunately lost all the disc and it's just been sitting in a closet at his office.
Thanks
Nikon LS-3510AF scanner

Your best bet for drivers will be Nikon, but since it was apparently released in 1991 they may have dropped support.
I don't see this model on the LaserSoft supported scanner list, though they may actually support it for all I know, but again Nikon should be able to answer your question about the software that came with the scanner.

SiriusDoggy,
Be careful if you go this route because as indicated below Nikon does not support the current Windows OS. It might work, but if you have problems you are left to your own devices to resolve the issues.
Compatible OS platform
Windows 3.x
Windows 95
What's included in the download
Zipped installer application
Special Notes
Adaptec 2940 SCSI Controllers are not supported in Windows 98
GPIB interface scanners are not supported in Windows 95, 98 or 2000
No SCSI OR GPIB support in Windows NT
Please note that Photoshop version 4 is the last version supported by this installer.

Thanks guys, I knew it was an old scanner. He said it's been in the closet for 10 years. But he did say that when they used it that it was very good. He's selling it for $75.00 but I guess even that is too much if I can't find the software/drivers to make it work. I read somewhere that it cost several thousand dollars brand new so that's why I thought it might be a good deal. Looks like I'd need a machine running Win 95 to even get it to work????
Thanks again for the info.
I was just looking for a cheap way to get the 10 carosels of slides I have scanned for archival purposes.

If you don't need a scanner beyond those you might want to pay someone else to scan them for you, but if you will use the scanner for other things it might be worth it to bite the bullet.
Do a price comparison between having them digitized and purchasing a new scanner and go from there.
