He,

Job manager of SilverFast Ai for NIkon works fine with film stips. However, when I use SF 200 slide feeder I can only scan via a multiscan mode and have not find out how to use the Job Manager. Am I right in that SF 5.5's Job mMnager does not support the use of Nikon SF-200 slide-feeder and in that in order to take the advantage of Job Manager you need to have it for SF HDR if you are using SF-200 slide feeder

Hi,

I also tried to figure out how to use SF200 with the jobmanager and did not succeed. If you find a way, please let me know.

Bye

Andreas

The Job Manager does work with the SF-200 slide feeder - if you can get 5.5 to work.

Settings:
general tab:
scan mode to "batch file"
pos/neg to "document feeder"

and if you want auto correction:
under the "options" button
auto tab:
check "auto correction with ADR" box.

With these settings, and a stable install, each slide in the tray will be scanned.

Dear Urban Voyager,
sorry to correct you. Your above instructions are o.k. for simple batch scanning all slides in the ADF holder SF-200. But the JobManager does not function with that ADF holder.

Andreas (originator of question):
please remember that the SF JobManager loads thumbnails of film slides into it's queue. Then you can call a real preview of a thumbnail in that queue, and for this purpose the scanner moves the slide - at the position of that image - over the optical unit.
This is NOT possible with SF-200 ADF, because once a frame is scanned it comes out (on the other end of the SF-200) and this ADF has no return feeding function.
IF the hardware cannot return to the image, the JobManager in SilverFast cannot work.
