Hi All

Can someone help.

I am just about to place a order for a LS50/silverfast AI and want to scan film thats positive 35mm projection film its frame is around half the height of a stand neg. They are in strips and I wonder if the strip loader will prescan them ok. I kind of does not matter even if I end up with 2 image covering one preview as I can crop them for scan. I am just not sure if they will preview at all. I know I can get the film strip holder and work that way but it would be great if the strip feeder worked.

I have not used a Nikon film scanner, but I was able to do what you are asking on a PrimeFilm 3650 Pro3 Scanner. It was designed for today's 35mm film, so even though I went through the pre-scan and dragged boxes around what I wanted scanned, it overlapped pictures a little.

Since the Nikon is supposed to be a better scanner, I see no reason for it not to handle things the same way if not better.

Hope this helps!

Hi Thanks for the help I did look at the 3650 but could not confirm it would work so you have answer a question I was may be going to ask.

Thanks

Mike
