LS-2000 scan not being brought into PhotoShop

I have a Nikon LS-2000 scanner with Silverfast 6.2.1r8.running on Windows 2000 Server with Service Pack 4.

I had a problem after a system crash during a scan and scans kept coming up all black. I finally tracked this problem down to the Profiles for ICM in the CMS options not being set to the LS-2000 setting.

Now, my ownly problem is that scans are not impoted into PhotoShop, even though I use the PhotoShop import function. This used to work fine before the crash, but now I get a file save dialog panel after a scan is complete. I would like to have the scan imported into PhotoShop.

What can I do to solve this problem? I need to get some scans done and it is more difficult when the scans aren't imported to PhotoShop.

Dear Mr. Patterson.

Please go to the "General" panel inside the main dialog. The popup "Scan Mode" is possibly set to "Normal (File)". Switch to "Normal" and you will get your scans imported into PhotoShop directly.
