48bit HDR mode: what processing is done ?

Postby eparth » Sat Nov 13, 2004 2:09 pm

I use Ai 6 for LS2000.

When I save to 48bit HDR mode:
I do understand there is no color/histogramm/.. processing.

but is the reuslt of multi-pass scanning included in the output data ?
What about ICE ? Or maybe is infrared data also stored in the outputfile and I can do ICE processing in HDR-Studio afterwards ?

regards

Dear Mr. Parth.

You are right, 48bit HDR mode means no color or histogram changes are applied. HDR mode saves the data exactly as the scanner sees them without any changes. You can however apply a gamma curve if you want to. To apply a gamma curve to the 16bit HDR data, check on the checkbox "for HDR output" right beside the gamma value in the "General" panel of the "Options" dialog.

Multisampling and digital ice are applied during the scan.
