Scanning 110 color negative film

Postby ayham » Thu Sep 02, 2004 2:06 pm

Dear friends,

I recently bought Nikon coolscan Ls 50, and scanning 35 mm films and slides are excelent with no problems, but every time I try to scan 110 color negatives I do not get good scans, in other words; the scanned image is covered with a gray bluish color. I tried to do all sorts of color and brightness adjustmnets and image cropping but I do not get the same good scans as the 35 mm ones. I use the 35 mm film strip holder FH-3 to hold the 110 film by sometimes blocking the surroundings with a piece of black 35 mm film, and sometimes leaving them open, but I still cannot get good scans.
So, could anybody help me overcome this problem? and another thing, do you think changing the scanning software will solve the problem?.

Thank you very much.
