16X - Scanner error: -123

Nikon coolscan 5000
SFE-6.2.1r4(NikonM)
OS X 10.3.4

It gets about 1/100 through the scan and then I get the error message!

Also I tried the SFE-6.2.1r5 but it didn't scan at all, even in 1X.

Is there a solution?

follow up:

I trashed the r4 prefs and ran r5 successfully at 1X, but I haven't tried 16X yet.

follow up 2:

16X still gives me the error message! It got 1/2 way thru scanning on the last attempt.

After I tried to start SF thru the Import menu and now I get a dialog:

There was no scanner found! etc.

Thanks for the reply. I don't know as I got to the final download area and it asked me for a name and password. It's never done that before, or if it has I don't remember it?



Also, is there a way to get an email when the updates are available?

it has done this for Ai update downloads for quite some time.
Probably you downloaded SE versions before.

However, directly below that download link there is another one:
>>How do I get the passwords?<<
Please use it.

It will lead you to registration. You will be sent user/pass after registration automatically.

No I've downloaded six times since SFE-6.2.0r8(NikonM) - the full version SF Ai 6, not SE. And I don't recall having to do the name and password, at least I don't remember doing so since SFE-6.2.1r3.

But I did find my info in my original registration email from SF.

I'll install this update and post again to let you know if it worked or not to solve the 16x problem.

PS - I'm still curious if it's possible to get automatic emails when the software updates are out?
