Dear anonymous,
what version of SilverFast are you using with your LS2000?
Did you check
https://www.silverfast.com/english/scann ... index.html
There is information on the lastest SilverFast for
Nikon Maid scanners (such as LS2000).

dear sir,
i adhered to the complicated process and ended up deleting 2 nikon directories and maybe 20+ files, definitely not easy understandable for the normal pc user.
oh, the results are averagely better, other than a bit magneta cast, quality is very much so on the excellant side. great! pls continue the excellant work!!!

The page on Nikon Maid says "please DO NOT INSTALL NikonScan 3.x subsequently on your computer!!" Should I
- uninstall NikonScan or
- reinstall the OS or
- install the latest SF5.5 (after removing old SF5.5 files as described)

Bart, you should
1. uninstall SilverFast
2. decide whether you want to keep NikonScan on your system, and if it is not installed now - but you want to install it - do it now.
3. install the new SilverFast 5.5.2 (by now)
4. DO NOT install NikonScan after SilverFast. You had your chance at point 2.
