LaserSoft Imaging

I see new scanners showing up from Nikon on the market. The only place I have found the specs is www.nikon.ca - I am currently looking at purchasing the 8000 but the 9000 seems to run much faster, so I think I will wait and see it in service first before I purchase it. My question is will the software (silverfast) for the 8000 work on the 9000 or should I wait for that also? Is there any idea when the 9000 software would be available?

The version for the LS8000 will not work with the LS9000. There is currently no shedule for a release of SilverFast for the LS9000 .
