AGAIN it doesn't work

<loop>
i installed, de-installed, re-installed after deleting all folders, files, prefs ... (no nikonView software installed; osx 2.6, 1gb ram) ....
</loop>

sf6.0.2r20 works with all other FHs (869s, 835m. 835s) except for 869m

fh896m:
i inserted the FH filled with a 6x6 (1st) and a 6x7 (2nd) slide
-> did a preview - it works => 1st thumb: 6x6, 2nd thumb 6x7

then:
6x6 slide: prescan works, scan works too
6x7 slide: it doesn't work :-/
when i select the 6x7 slide in the preview window and press "OK":
the prescan window doesn't change its size from a square to a rectangle!!!

the prescan starts .... when the prescan is complete and the prescanned image is visible in the prescan window (still a square) -> PS7 (and the standalone vers. too) crashes

does anyone else has the same problems?
r08 works

AND i have to scan lots of 6x7-slides

Dear VS,
SilverFast does NOT really support the 869m holder, as it hosts two different film sizes.
SilverFast can NOT detect this distinction and will work as if it were the 869s holder.

does this mean i can NOT scan mounted mediumformat slides with SF6.2.x ?

(previous versions worked, not 100%... but i could scan slides)
i.e. version 6.0.1r46

my workaround
- insert a mounted slide (i.e. 6x7) in fh869M
- do a preview scan
- do a prescan
- close SF !!!!! :-/
- re-open SF
- prescan
- then your 6x7 slide has the correct aspect ratio
- once adjusted it works for further slides (in some cases you have to repeat the steps again)

:D I am running version6.0.2r09 (PC) and the 869M holder works fine. I can preview both windows and it gives me the correct sizes for 6x6 or 6x7. I also scan my Hassy Xpan panorama slides with that holder.
Mr. Engelhardt should remember me because it did not work when I got my first version and I finally got them to impliment this feature after numerous e-mails to the president. I had to wait for Nikon to give them the right info so this would work. It took a few months, but they came thruand the nice thing is it works perfectly.

In spite of what Mr. Englehardt posted they support the 869M
