Red/Magenta patches on skin tones

I'm using SilverFast AI 6.0.2r09 on a Nikon LS-2000 scanner to scan Fuji Provia 100F slides. I noticed that I'm getting red/magenta patches on skin tones, mainly in shadow areas or on people with dark or black skin. They are next to impossible to correct.

I switched back to 6.0.1.r44 and still have the problem.

Scanning the same slide using Nikon Scan 3.1 and I don't see the problem. To me, this indicates that the scanner hardware is working correctly.

I've got a lot of slides to scan, so I'd like to get this problem solved soon.

Thanks!

Thank you for the suggested fix. I looked at it and I don't think that it applies to me because it seems to be for scanning negatives using NegaFix and I'm scanning color slides (Fuji Provia 100F).

Perhaps the difference is using the Nikon scanner profile (if Nikon CMS is on) when you use the NikonScan software. If Silverfast is used straight up, then no profile of the scanner is applied.
