LS30 and OSX... Wheres the ICE?

Postby dubh_caora » Fri Apr 25, 2003 3:28 pm

Hello!
I am now running X all the time (company gunnipig) and just got silverfast 6.0.2r07 for my LS30, witch i love even more then when i was using the Nikon Software in os9, but I can not seem to get the ICE on... I can get the SDR dialog up (witch is a nice feature in itself) but I really need the ICE feature for when we are at crunch time.
HELP! and thanks in advance!

i do not think that ICE was part of that scanner. It is a hardware feature.

Dear all.

Yes, dICE is a hardware feature, but for the LS30 and LS2000 it is not supported on OSX. The reason is licensing. For OS9, Nikon delievered a SDK, which we use for the communication to the scanners and which also included dICE. For OSX, such a SDK is not available for those scanners.
