LS2000 stopped working

I just installed update 44 for 6 and my scanner seems to have stopped working. Both version 5 and 6 give me an error that it can't find the scanner. It's powered on and connected, but no can work. The log file says: Locking : <Program Files>: LOCKED, and has not entry for "Supp. Scanner:". Any ideas?
