Coolscan 9000ED and Xpan

I could not find fresh topic for this...
How people scan their 35mm Xpan/panorama films?
I modified one basic 35mm FH-835S holder (scanner shows it now 120 holder). If I insert one 35mm "Xpan" film (3 panorama pics in it). When I scan I use 6x6 settings to do prescan and then I can prescan first frame if I turn the autofocus off (because software try to focus middle of film holder/"6x6 frame"(where is only plastic and not film). When I try to scan overview from frames 2 and 3 it usually fails because software try to autofocus even it's off. It won't help if I pick the autofocus point manually and then add the settings to other frames...
Usually software crash because it can't focus...
I don't want use Nikon 120 holders with glass because you will have some dust or Newton rings etc.
Is it possible to scan Xpan film with Silverfast without glass film holders? Should I try other settings? Third party film holder?
I'm using 8.8.0r5 Silverfast software and OS X 10.11.5
Workflow:
Scanner on
Software on
Insert film holder
Set 6x6 film + film type etc.
Turn autofocus off
Prescan
Crop
Overview / offset
Software try to autofocus and fails/crash
I record my screen and you can watch the video from this link https://vimeo.com/171208534 password is "silverfast"
