LaserSoft Imaging

In the Quicktime movie they show the steps for scanning a group of slides on a flatbed scanner using the new IFF+. I'm using the slide carrier and batch mode for my Nikon 9000. I simply check the box to automatically detect the frame when batch scanning. Is there anything else I should do for best results?
