Thank you for new version of SF8 for Nikon :D :D
Using SF 8.0.1r54, I confirmed that high resolution(around 4000dpi) scanning quality has been improved well.

It seems that jaggy eliminated in slanting line. It's welcome but how did you improve scan quality where over 3000dpi zone?
Is it by interpolating technic or any bugs fixed?

I've read that actual optical resolution of Nikon LS5000 is approx. 2800-2900dpi in your document.
Also I found that scanning time seems shorter and its working sound changed. Are there any relationship with them?

Regards,
Yonekura

Dear Yonekura,

We have improved the communication stability for the device.
Maybe your difficulties were caused by a connection issue.

Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Dear LSI,

just to make sure: the improvements were only on connection stability, which
could improve quality.
It is not a basic quality improvement in the scanning and resulting resolution ?

My scan's are all done with a 8r something release with max resolution.
I never experienced quality issues in resolution, but I have recognized a improved
scanning speed with one of the latest patches.

I am wondering now if I have to rescan everything with new versions ?

best regards
Kolja

Dear Kolja,

No, it should not be necessary to rescan images.
Unless of cause you experienced any unusual occurrences.

Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
