Disappearing Files

I am less than happy with the new version 8 software. It was much, much easier to batch scan with the old 6.6 version. I can't rename files as they are scanned for some reason. I specified a file folder as a destination for the scans but they are not there. I cannot find them anywhere. I scanned 20 slides in a batch with the SF-210. Where might they be?

Dear Tina,

there are two ways to define the location for saved images during ADF-Scan.


You either use the location in the Window which comes up after starting the ADF-scan.

Or if you do not change anything in the dialog the location in the Scan dimensions dialog are being used.

Please make sure you do not start SilverFast 8 through the outdated SilverFast 6 SF_Launcher.

The problem was starting through the Launcher. I had no idea that couldn't be used anymore. Thank you.
