Agfa T2500 vs Leopard

After installation of OS 10.5 on my G5 my AGFA T2500 does not work at all anymore! I was told that OS 10.5 does not support SCSI scanners - is that true? What can I do to make the Scanner work again? Trying to find a firmware/driver update for the SCSI card in my G5 (LSILogic, Ultra 320 SCSI HBA LVD/parallel-SCSI; or should it be: ATTO, ExpressPCIProUL4D, scsi-2 - I don't really know which one?) I had absolutely no success - can anyone help?
I am totally puzzled where to look for help and am very frustrated as the scanner worked perfectly with the Lasersoft AI 6 under Tiger!

Dear tstpilot,
currently I cannot test the T2500 with 10.5, unfortunately, but I do not know of problems (except yours).
Maybe other forum users have experience with this scanner under 10.5 ... ?
Best regards
Martin

Thanks for the reply. The thing about it is that the scanner is detected by the system but the sofware does not find it, thus saying " no scanner found.."
I am curious to hear if anyone has had similar problems!

Dear tspilot,
The thing is that Apple decided not to support SCSI cards from 10.4 onwards.
There are only two types of SCSI cards which might work with your system and SilverFast
These are ATTO technologies or ACARD.
You might also want to try the SCSI to FireWire adapter from Ratoc Ratoc FR1SX, it can be found here:
http://www.ratocsystems.com/english/products/FR1SX.htmlHowever be aware that the only "possible" version of SilverFast compatible with Leopard might be 6.6 onwards.
If you check the list of compatible scanners under Leopard, you will note that the scanner model in question is not yet included within the list.
If you happen to have SilverFast 6.4, please download and test the demo version of SilverFast 6.6 from:
http://www.silverfast.com/get_demo/en.htmlI hope this information help you come one step further
