Any idea when the software will be available for this scanner? I downloaded the demo and run it in mac classic and it works fine. Actually much better than the software that came with the scanner.

I too have the PF3600 Pro. I just downloaded the SilverFast demo today, July 24, 2002 installed and it still says it can't find the scanner... The CyberView software that came with my scanner works just fine so I know there is a scanner there. With that said... I am on Win98SE, 256mb ram, Celeron 300, Photoshop6.01. I have followed the infor in the GAQ looking for certain files. All were there except the one referencing the 1800.dll... But since this is the 3600 I think they may have a problem.

Dear Gene More,
this missing file was a fault of the SilverFast (old) installer, which did not install all files correctly in Win98.
By now there should be an updated
demo software for this scanner available on the web (higher release number). Please download this new installation file, kill the current installation and then run the new installation.

I downloaded SE for this device a few days ago, but it still wouldn't recognise the scanner. I now see that the only downloadable file for the PF3600 is for the Mac.
Is there still a problem with the Windows one? Any hint on when I can try a demo? Cyberview works but is a pain!
Rummaging in the configs I did notice that SE appears to be looking for a PF3600SU, with a device ID that ends ...123, whereas my machine is a PF3600PRO, device ID ending ...122. Is this relevant?
I'm using Windows XP BTW.
Thanks
