LaserSoft Imaging

When I start a prescan with my 'Silverfast-SE v5.5.1r06' I get a message 'warming up lamp'. This message seems to freeze photoshop elements.
I'm using a PIE PF 1800 silver film scanner. Please help me with this!

I think I solved the blue cast problem by reinstalling drivers and by deleting the preference files.

The 'warming up lamp' problem is still there. I contacted suport through the 'problem report' form.
