Hi,

I recently bought a Pacific Image Primefilm 7200u Scanner but cannot find the silverfast software for it to purchase. I have emailed Pacific Image to ask and they told me basically the Reflecta Pro Scan 7200 is the exact same model under a different branding. I have some doubts because even though both scanners look identical, the Primefilm 7200u I bought has specifications of 7200 X 3600 dpi whereas the Reflecta Pro Scan 7200 has specifications of 3600 X3600 Dpi. Can anybody help me on this?

unfortunately we can not yet confirm, that the two devices are identical.
The devices also sometimes use different firmwares.

Any notice about the availability of Silverfast software for Pacific Image Primefilm 7200 film scanner?
Any expected time and data for its release?

Unfortunately there are still some open questions.
Especially regarding the availability/usability of current firmware versions.
Using the current Reflecta ProScan 7200 firmware it should be compatible with the current SilverFast versions for the Proscan 7200.
But of cause we need to confirm the manufacturer's firmware.

I have just got information from our product management.
The new version on our website should support your device.
Please download the version for the Reflecta ProScan 7200.
That should function correctly.

We will make this installer directly available for the PIE PF 7200 soon.

I will be receiving my new scanner in a few days. I am running Mac 10.8(latest rev) and was wondering if I will need to install CyberView (which comes with it) before installing SilverFast? I see that this was the case previously on windows machines but wasn't sure if that is still the case on Mac OS 10.

Dear customer,

No, CyberView is not required.
SilverFast contains the newest drivers for this device.
CyberView would only be necessary in case the firmware has to be updated.

Hello from Russia!

I'm going to order PIE PrimeFilm 7200 but it has no Silverfast software and IT8 targets. I think I need Silverfast SE PLUS 8 with Multi Exposure function (because I have very much old films)

But also I need IT8 targets, but I don't know which one I have to use and how to buy it.

Is it possible to calibrate PIE PrimeFilm 7200 with Silver Fast software and IT8 targets?
