Locking settings

Hi this is the first time here so I hope this hasn't been covered before,
I am using an Epson V700 and Silverfast 8 SE Plus
Does any one know how to transfer the auto setting from a portion of a negative to the rest of the negative. I want to take a portion of the frame, use auto CCR on this portion then lock this setting and expand the frame to include the rest of the negative but keep the settings from the small portion of the frame. When the frame is expanded to include the whole negative the settings always change.
cheers
ed

Dear Ed,

This is simple.
Just remove the mark from the "auto" checkbox before you resize your scan frame again.
(The CCR checkbox must stay active)

kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Thanks very much. I've tried this out and it works fine.
Does anyone know if there is a full manual available on line like there used to be for Silverfast 6 Ai which covers a lot more of the functions than the short manual.
thanks
ed

Currently only the short manual is available.
You can still also use the SF6 manual.
The interface looks different but the main functionality is the same.
Our documentation department is still working on the SilverFast 8 manual files.

I really need to lock auto settings as well. Only, I don't know what you mean by "remove the mark from the auto checkbox", and "the CCR checkbox must stay active". Where are those checkboxes? I'm using SF8 and I can't see any checkboxes anywhere.
