Hi all,

I am in need of a 'practical' way to scan Kodak Instamatic negativs. Following hardware and software are in use right now:
* Nikon Coolscan 5000 ED with Silverfast Ai Studio
* Epson Perfection 4180 Photo with Epson software
Nikons' film feeder rejects the Instamatic film. The only way using the Nikon is the film holder FH-3 which means lot of hand word in case of some 1000 pictures.
Epsons' software doesn't recognize the square format of the Instamatic, thus the adjustment is poor.
In all cases, some 3mm are cut/masked of at the top edge of the film since all hard- and software seems to be focused on the 25...mm hight.
So here are my questions:
* Did someone succeed in "convincing" Nikons' film feeder to accept Instamatic films?
* Does Silverfast recognize Instamatic films using the Epson flat bed scanner?

is this positive film material you intend to scan or are this still Instamatic negative film strips?

It is 28mm x 28mm (for now black and white) negativ material (aka Instamatic 126???) with 6 images per strip.
