Setting film frames

I am using a Nikon 9000 to scan 6x7cm film. Unfortunately, as the exact position of the film differs by a very small amount between scans, the scan fram often does not cover the full image.
The bottom to set the beginning of a frame for some reason only works on the right half of the picture, which does not solve my issue.

Is there any way to set the exact beginning of the first of two frames ?

Is there any way to specify the distance between 2 frames ?

These things would REALLY simplify scanning an save a lot of time

Thanky
Eckart

Dear Eckart

this is where the film offset tool will help you out. Its use is described in Ch6.08 The Use of Various Film Holders.
<a href="https://www.silverfast.com/documentation/en.html?chapter=Ch6+Special+Functions">Read on</a> in the SilverFast manual.

Dear Eckart,

if I understand your posting right, then you are familiar with our Filmstrip Offset Tool, and you are refering to a behaviour which a colleague of mine has fixed very recently.

Please provide me with your email address (possibly via private message) and I will send a current version of the SilverFast-plugin to you.
Please also tell me if you are working on Mac or Windows platform and which language you would prefer.

Best regards
Martin

I've had the same problem with the offset tool. it doesn't work. the film position moves but not to the position indicated by the offset tool click. could you send me the latest plugin too?

Dear Gregory,

the fix I've done recently was specifically for the LS8000/9000, so there won't be any change for the LS4000.
Which problems do you have exactly with the film strip offset tool?

Best regards
Ralf

Unfortunately I never got a reply with a link to the fix described above. I used the eMail of the support people here on the forum. It is a shame. A few weeks ago a mail came asking weather everything is fixed. I replied and again no answer.

As I am about to start a new project I again try it on the forum. The latest release does NOT FIX the issue. For the last project I ended up using Nikon scan, now i WANT TO USE SILVERFAST !

Please let me know what the fix is and where the download link is.

Thanks
