consistent scanning between frames for panorama stitching

i use silverfastai 6.x for my minolta scan multi pro.

when scanning negatives to stitch together into panoramas, i want consistent scan settings between frames so they match up color/densitywise. i can't seem to do that. if i set my levels and curves on my 'master' frame, scan and then move to the next frame leaving all settings the same, the second frame still scans differently. i can even see it in the preview.

i know i'm missing something simple, but i'm having to resort to the minolta scan software to get these scans.

what am i doing wrong?

thanks
kenb

Dear Ken

please check your SilverFast options settings. I suspect auto-adjust on opening an image is activated.

For further support, please don't hesitate to contact LaserSoft Imaging support staff: http://www.silverfast.com/problemreport/en.html
I would appreciate if you could paste a fresh copy of the SF_Logfile in the problem report.

I then would also need a file called "SF Statistics" which lists the details on the scan settings which seem to be problematic on your machine.
You can generate it from the (button on the horizontal panel in the settings window:) "Expert Dialogue" -> button "Output Statistics" [see a screenshot at: viewtopic.php?p=10289 ].

Thanks in advance for your co-operation.

Thank you for the quick response. I'll check auto-adjust when I scan today. I appreciate the links and info for followup support if I need it.

Thanks again,
kenb
