Servious v6 bug or just user bug?

I've read so much great press about Sillverfast that I decided to try v6. Aside all the great features I've run into one maddening bug if I load a scanner profile via the CMS option.
My scanner is a Linotype Saphir Ultra II. The scaner profile was created using Linocolor's Newcolor 5000 software. My OS is Win2K. Silverfast version is Ai v6 Twain, "SFTWE-6.0.1D05(Linotype).exe" or v6.0.1r05.
What's going on?
- The first time I scan the image into PS7 it matches the prescan in Silverfast.
If I scan again without closing Silverfast the image in PS looks exactly as it did before the scanner profile was selected.
If I now do another prescan, the preview image in Silverfast also looks like it did before using the profile -- the same as the second scan in in PS.
Close out of Silverfast and start it up again. Now the preview loaded is the profiled version even without doing another prescan and the first scan is a profiled version. But do another scan and it again reverts back to an unprofiled state.
