Artixscan 1800f and OSX 10.7

It seems that I won't be able to use my Artixscan 1800f with Silverfast ai if I upgrade to OSX Lion. Silverfast 8 is not available for my scanner and Silverfast 6.6 won't work with Lion. Are there any plans to create an Lion compatible version of Silverfast for my scanner or do I either have to buy a new scanner or find alternative software?

unfortunately there are no plans to release SilverFast for this scanner.
But maybe it will come in the future.

I have the same problem as richard and would like to know if there has been any progress in providing silverfast studio for Artixscan 1800f on OSX 10.7 (Lion)? If not the case, can you recommend alternative software?

Unfortunately
Microtek has canceled support for your device and no longer creates drivers for it.
Without intel-based drivers the scanner can not be used on OSX
10.7 or newer.
