There is currently no way to switch off the music at the end of a batch scan. However, we will consider this possibility.

I'm sure it wouldnt be that hard to turn off the music. Is there anyway to issue a patch to fix this? Its the most annoying feature of the program and for the money I paid for it, surely you can turn it off.

We decided, to let the music play only once at the end of a batch scan. This is to signal, that the batch has terminated, but the music will not start over and over again. The changes will be made soon (within one or two weeks) and can then be downloaded from our web site.
Please let me know, what version of SilverFast you are using (scanner model,
Ai or
SE, language, version number).
Eric.

I am in TOTAL AGREEMENT with the sentiments regarding the batch completion music. Playing it once is useful. Playing it endlessly is a headache. I frequently run full film strip batches over-night. Awaking to hear the 'music' looping endlessly at 3am is mildly annoying. The music also prevents the Mac from sleeping when the batch has completed.
I am using SilverFast AI 6 for the Nikon Super Coolscan 4000ED and the Microtek ScanMaker 5700. I am running OS X 10.2 "Jaguar" on a 17" iMac.
I have waited a looonnng time to run SilverFast on OS X and to run it *without* the need for Photoshop. Thank you for finally delivering the solution, but please make an effort to fix the problems that we find asap, including the inability to save Original scan dimensions with a Frame Set or to Copy/Paste the Original scan dimensions when using the Job Manager.
regards
Gregory

The changes concerning the batch end music are implemented for both PC and MAC and will be contained in the next updates.
Gregory,
yes we listen to our users (at least we try to;)). I read all your comments concerning your problem with the copying of the original frame dimension within the JobManager and we will look at it soon. I hope that you understand, that we were very, very busy with version 6 the last few months.
