Just upgraded my v6 SilverFast to Version 8 Ai Studio. Really looking forward to an improved scanning experience.

I use a Nikon LS-8000 film scanner. First thing I noticed when trying to do a scan with SilverFast 8 is that I can't find Multi-Sampling anywhere as well as Super Fine Mode (for doing a single line scan). Often times, Super Fine Mode scan is the only way to do a scan and not get severe banding in a photo. This is a scanner problem, nothing to do with software. Where are these options in SilverFast 8? I won't be able to use it without them.

Dear Mike,

Multi Sampling is not included in SilverFast 8 because all tests had the result that Multi Exposure is doing the same (not technical but in the scan results, they are better).
Super Fine Mode is active in SF8 and can not be switched off.

Well, that is a deal breaker for me. No upgrade possible now.
