I have just upgraded to 5.2.0r5, using a Polaroid ss4000 on Macintosh with Coreldraw 8.0.3 LE.

Does anyone know what the new tickbox 'for HDR output' in the options section is for? Is there a manual that covers all the changes in the latest update?

thanks,

Holger

It only effects image that "you" have decided to export/save in 48 bit HDR color or 16 bit HDR Grayscale.

If "for HDR output" is checked the HDR image will be exported with the gamma correction you typed in to the "gamma gradation" box already applied. If it's unchecked the value you typed in for "gamma gradation" is ignored and the HDR image will be exported with a gamma of 1 - VERY dark.

thanks for the answer,

I seem to get the opposite behaviour. The images (negatives that is) are very dark when the box is checked, which makes them unmanageable in HDR.

I am now leaving the box unchecked for all scans. Would that be because I use negatives?

thanks
