LaserSoft Imaging

When I bought an Epson 10000xl scanner last year SilverFast Ai was in the package but I have only just installed it to try it out. I do fine art reproduction work and achieving accurate colour rendition is extremely important to me. I was impressed with SilverFast's scanner profiling facility and have now learnt that printer profiling is available. Profiling the SilverFast way would appear to be a much more simple process that using the xrite i1 system I purchased at great expense.

1. Has anyone any experience of using the SilverFast profiling system for fine art reproduction?
2. Are the printer profiles created by SilverFast available to other applications?
3. How do I obtain the printer profiling facility?
