Scanning slides with Canon 4400F??

I am using SF SE Plus, with the current driver for canon 4400F. However, I cannot find any way of scanning slides or negatives - do I need a seprate scanner driver for this?

Dear leneig,
in the "general" tab you must choose "transparency" and "negative". Be sure that the white cover is not in front of the transparency unit.
