Windows Vista Ultimate, 4Gb RAM.
Epson 4870Photo
Silverfast 6.6 AI
Scanning in 48bit colour, both RGB and Lab.
4800dpi for slides and 300dpi for prints.

Formatting Problem
Scanning slides and prints result in the scan being a mirror image of the original.
It is easily fixed in image processing software but it should not happen.

A worse problem is when scanning monochrome prints. See the attached image for the effect.
The effect is the same for RGB or Lab output.
I need to scan mono prints in color, doing it in grayscale is not an option for me.

Using the Epson scanning software results in correctly formatted images and the mono prints are perfect.

I've attached a resized smaller copy of the scan as trying to describe the effect is beyond me.

Regards
Dennis.

Dear Dennis,

The Image turning/flipping options can be found in the densitometer tab/box(if freefloating).

The image did not get here but please be aware that there is no true white/black.
Paper for example has whiteners which will result in a blue scan theis can be corrected with the whitpoint / darkpoint tool and the mid-grey pipette.

kind regards
