LaserSoft Imaging

I'm confused on this issue. The LaserSoft page on system requirements indicates XP compatibility:

I saw another page that said that LaserSoft recommends downloading a demo to test for compatibility.

I'd like to know what the latest posiiton is.

I'm about to buy a new computer, and am trying to decide wheter I should go with XP or 2000.

SilverFast is XP compatible in general now.
