The calibration is an option on this scanner. When you ordered SilverFast with calibration, you should have received a second serial number, which will allow you to unlock the calibration and make the icon visible. Please click the "i"- button in the upper left corner of your pre-scna window, and select "credits" and "upgrade". Then, please replace your basic serial number with the calibration- serial number and click "ok". The calibration icon will appear.

Thanks for your reply, however it hasn't solved my problem. Perhaps the following info will help.

The Silverfast disc I received with the Nikon 4000 is version 5.5. When I installed it the menu listed it as v5.5 Or12. The window accessed by the 'info' button said:

SilverFast E-5.5 Or12 Serial
SU-Nikon LS-4000
Licensed to: Job

I downloaded the free upgrade from your web site, installed that, and the menu now lists it as v5.5.2R02. The window accessed by the 'info' button now says:

SilverFast E-5.5.2r02 Serial
SU-Nikon LS-4000
Licensed to: ADF, Job

However at no time was there any reference to optional calibration, nor did I receive another serial number. So how do I access this option?

The only reference I can find anywhere is at http://www.lasersoft-imaging.com/produc ... 00/en.html, where there is the offer of optional calibration for $161. Is this what you are referring to? If so, is it downloadable? And from where? On the web site I can only find ways of having software physically shipped, which is impractical since I am in Moscow. I already have a target transparency, so the best option is download if at all possible.

Thanks,

Jeremy Nicholl

Upgrading to IT8 Calibration without target

It would be possible to upgrade to IT8-Target calibration when you order directly from us, you can get that option via payment by credit card.

We would need your Photoshop serial-number (for Macintosh) or your Windows Number (for PC).
