Canoscan 8800F. Upgrade to what software?
Hi
Some advice, please
I have the Canoscan 8800F. I have the SilverFast SE that came bundelled with the scanner. I am looking into upgrading the software either to SilverFast Ai Studio (Multi-Exposure) 6.6 for Eur 179,- (New 196,-) or to SilverFast Archive Suite SE 6.6 for Eur 125,- (New 251,-). The latter seems the best deal. I use the 8800F for scanning Slides and Negatives and some paper-pictures. I have Adobe Lightroom 2.0 and will archive and prosess the scanned images in Lightroom 2.0 or Photoshop Elements 7. I would like to get the best from my slides and negatives. I know that a lot can be done in Lightroom but a lot is easier to do in the scanning process and som is very difficult to do even in Lightroom if the scan is not the best.
Which upgrade should I make, if any? I will of course try the demo-versions first.
I appreciate any thoughts on the topic.
