SE: no 48Bit color option / HDRi blue toned / turn off iSRD

Hi,
I am amazed, but new to SilverFast, so I got some questions and hope you can help me. I just updated from my bundled SE 6.5 to 6.6.1r1a. I just used it with negative 6x6 film yet. Now my questions
a) I am a bit confused, that the 48Bit color option is greyed out now. Do I have to update to get it back? I remember in SE 6.5 I could choose it. I would like to get auto corrected 16bit per channel images, already inverted. This leads me to b)
b) Without 48bit color option I tried using 48bit HDR color, which lead into very blue toned results. I`ve read the manual and understood the raw idea behind it. But how is the workflow to bring them back to normal color space, without buying SilverFast HDR. I would like to stay in Photoshop.
c) I`ve noticed iSRD doesn`t work properly at my negatives. Not to say I don`t see the difference except the long IR scan and calculation time (the IR scan also looks more like a the dark areas of the picture, than a mask for dust). What am I doing wrong? Do I need to activate special options? Moreover I noticed, that I can`t turn it off for black & white negative scans. The button indicates, it`s off, but during scanning it still does IR scan and dust removal calculation (I can`t even turn it on regarding the button).
my configuration:
- MacBook 13", 2.4 Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
- OS X 10.5.7
- SilverFast SE v6.6.1r1a
- Canon 8800F USB
Thanks for all!
with best regards
