Hi,
I am new to Silverfast Ai and have it hooked up to an Epson Perfection V750 Pro scanner. We have been scanning some glass slides (early 1900's era) and have been scanning at 24bit color at 1600dpi into the tiff format via batch mode. For some reason, when I open a tiff file in Irfanview (external software) I see there are two images in the tiff file, the first appears to be the correct and LARGE (filesize) image, while there is a second lower res image. I can't seem to figure out how the second image is being added to the tiff. I searched all around in the user interface for some type of setting that may be causing this second image to be saved.
Any suggestions or information how this is happening?
Thanks
jmar

Re: Two images saved when scanning to TIFF format
Dear SilverFast User,
SilverFast has an option to embed a low-res preview image, which is part of our HiRePP-functionality. HiRePP enables SilverFast HDR to open and work with very large files, such as 100 MB to 1 GB, close to realtime.
You can disable this function in the SilverFast Option Panel under "Special" by unchecking "HiRePP".
